New Delhi, November 2 (HS): External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar will visit Australia and Singapore for important meetings and bilateral talks between November 3 and 8.
The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on Saturday saying that during this visit, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will visit Brisbane and inaugurate India's fourth consulate in Australia. The External Affairs Minister will also co-chair the 15th Foreign Ministers' Framework Dialogue (FMFD) with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in Canberra. He will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural session of the second Raisina Down Under to be held at the Australian Parliament House. The External Affairs Minister is also scheduled to interact with members of the Australian leadership, parliamentarians, Indian diaspora, business community, media and think tanks.
In the second leg of the visit, the External Affairs Minister will visit Singapore on November 8 for an official visit, during which he will address the 8th Roundtable Conference of the ASEAN-India Think Tank Network. He will also meet the Singapore leadership to review the close partnership between the two countries and explore opportunities to further enhance bilateral relations.
