Mumbai, 18 Nov (HS): The contest between the two
factions of Shiv Sena intensified with two days left for the Assembly elections
in Maharashtra. Clarifying his stand, Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde said he is
working on the Shiv Sena founder Balasahab Thackeray’s vision. He was against
any alliance with the Congress.
Talking to the media here, Shinde said alliance
with a group of the Nationalist Congress Party worked out only as the NCP (Ajit
Pawar) faction accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work towards development.
The Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena have similar agenda for the state and
the nation. The principles of both parties are same for the last 25 years. The principles on which Congress and NCP
(Sharad Pawar) work are different.
Replying to a question about NCP (Ajit Pawar Group), Shinde said that alliance of this group was worked out on the principles of
development. Ajit Pawar leads the political party and believes in development of
the state vis-à-vis his party.
