Jammu, 6 October (H.S.):

Following allegations of corporal punishment to a

student of class 4, Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kishtwar today suspended a

Government School teacher and ordered enquiry against him.

The cognizance was taken after photos and video

in this regard went viral on social media and the CEO Kishtwar, Javed Ahmed

Kitchloo suspended the teacher Anayatullah Ahanger posted at PS Gowarian Dhar,

Zone Inderwal after he was found in the viral videos of corporal punishment to

a student of his school.

Pending enquiry the teacher was placed under

suspension and during suspension period he shall remain attached to MS Lohidar

Zone Inderwal.

A Committee comprising Deputy CEO, Masood Qazi;

Principal HSS Chatroo, Vinod Kumar and Lecturer HSS Boys, Kishtwar, Jagdish

Chauhan has been constituted to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the matter and

submit report with recommendation to the office of CEO Kishtwar.

Daljeet Singh Palsar, Teacher, HSS Nagseni and

Shami Sen, Teacher HSS, Padder (Resource Person Career Guidance and General

Sanitization Component) shall assist the Enquiry Committee.
