Lucknow, 06 October (HS). In the first quarter final of the 23rd Aadikavi Maharishi Valmiki Cricket Tournament organized by DP Foundation under the aegis of Valmiki Vikas Seva Sansthan, MMB Sitapur defeated Royal Sporting Bahraich by 6 wickets due to the all-round play of Man of the Match Anup. In the match played at Chowk Stadium, Royal Sporting Bahraich batted first and scored 80 runs losing all wickets in the stipulated 10 overs.

Vikas scored 23 and Uddeshya scored 12 runs. Akash from MMB Sitapur took four wickets and Anup took three wickets. In reply, MMB Sitapur won the match by scoring 82 runs for 4 wickets in seven overs. Anup scored 27 and Rishabh scored 6 runs to give the team victory. Hrithik of Royal Sporting Bahraich got the award for the best catch.

Man of the Match Anoop of MMB Sitapur was awarded the prize by Naresh Valmiki, President of Valmiki Vikas Sansthan, Kamal Valmiki, Patron of Organizing Committee, Chaudhary Veer Singh, Dilip Ghavri and Ramesh Chaudhary, Co-convenor Praveen Ghavri, Manish Chaudhary, President Valmiki Ankit Ghavri and General Secretary Ashish Ghavri along with Vijay Chaudhary.
