Raigad, 04 Oct (HS): The Maharashtra State
Government’s efforts to register forts built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as
the World Heritage, appear to be bearing fruits.

to inspect the fort. The UNESCO team was accompanied by officials from the Archaeological
Survey of India (ASI), Maharashtra’s Archaeology Department, Forest Department
and local administration.
