Oct 27 (HS): A 15-year-old girl was reportedly sexually harassed and threatened

by two juvenile schoolmates in this hamlet, authorities said on Sunday. According

to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday, when the girl was returning

home from school. The girl's family filed a complaint, alleging that she was

sexually harassed by two juvenile classmates. They tried to murder her, but she

escaped, according to authorities. According to the family's lawsuit, they also

recorded a video of the girl and edited it before posting it on social media.

Officer Dr Ravishankar said that a case has been lodged under sections 79

(word, gesture, or act intended to offend the modesty of a lady) and 109

(attempt to murder),

(criminal intimidation), 352 (intentional insult with intent to cause a breach

of peace), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and the

Information Technology Act. The two suspects have been captured, and an

investigation is continuing, the officer stated.
