Bilaspur, October 23 (HS): A suo motu hearing was held in the Chhattisgarh High Court regarding cattle free roads. During this, the High Court has given instructions to make the road cattle free. The matter was heard on Wednesday in the bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal. During this, the Chief Justice has given a strong reaction to the cattle sitting on the road and not making an accurate road map including the accident.
At the same time, the incident of crushing cattle by a Hiva on 21 October 2024 in Belsari village of Takhatpur in Bilaspur was also taken cognizance of and expressed displeasure. The court said that it is very painful. At the same time, during the hearing, the Advocate General sought time for hearing after 8 weeks to take information from all the concerned departments in the next hearing, to which the Chief Justice reacted and said that take 8 years, not 8 weeks, but cattle should not be seen on the road. The High Court has scheduled the next hearing for November 25 and has asked the government, through the Advocate General, to provide a reply regarding the roadmap and implementation of the issue.
