Chhota Udepur, 27 September (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented projects worth Rs 5206 crore to the district in a function organised at Bodeli in Chhota Udepur on Wednesday. During this, while addressing the public meeting, he mentioned many schemes related to the development of tribal people. He narrated memoirs of his visits to Chhota Udepur during his missionary career. He said that he has come to Bodeli after a long time, but earlier he used to come to Bodeli frequently and during festivals. She mentioned the Nari Shakti Vandan Act and said that it would be approved by a tribal woman, the president of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he has the opportunity to gift the development of tribal patta from Umargam to Ambaji. The work of providing WiFi in 22 districts and 7 and a half thousand gramme panchayats in Gujarat has been completed today. People in rural areas are going to get better internet facilities. Recalling his old days spent in Chhota Udepur, Vadodara, Prime Minister Modi said that earlier he used to commute by bus as an ordinary worker. Limbdi, Kalol, and Halol—this was their route. He would come on the bus, meet everyone, participate in the programme, and then turn. He also visited Nareshwar often. He has seen the situation in Chhota Udepur very closely. After coming into government, he felt that this tribal belt had to be developed. Many plans were made for this. People are getting benefits from this. Looking at Chhota Udepur, it seems that hard work has paid off.

The Prime Minister said that good schools and roads have been built. Water facilities have started becoming available. Good houses have been built. In such a short time, more than 4 crore pucca houses have been built across the country. There is no middleman in this. Money goes directly into people's accounts. With this money, people build houses to their liking. Each house is built for Rs 1.5 lakh, or Rs 2 lakh each. That's why lakhs of our sisters in Gujarat have now become Lakhpati Didi. There is not even a single house in our name, but we have made a house in the name of lakhs of daughters of the country. We have taken the water crisis as a challenge. Today, water comes from the tap; such arrangements have been made.

The Prime Minister said that skill development work is going on. New experiments are continuously taking place in the field of education. For the appointment of teachers, a campaign was launched to recruit 2 lakh teachers. Earlier, children had to leave school, but in the last two decades, special attention has been given to education and skill development. Five new medical colleges were opened in the tribal community. Vandhan centres have been opened in tribal villages.
