Srinagar/Jaipur/Chandigarh, May 9 (HS): India responded decisively to Pakistan's provocations yesterday, countering military and diplomatic efforts effectively. The U.S. issued a strong warning to Pakistan, with Secretary of State Mark Rubio urging Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to cease support for terrorism.

Pakistan attempted to deploy numerous drones while engaging in shelling along the Line of Control last night; however, Indian Army air defense units successfully neutralized over 50 drones using advanced counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) technologies across multiple locations including Udhampur and Jammu.Tensions were palpable in Jammu and Kashmir, though the situation has since stabilized.

Additionally, the Pakistani army violated the ceasefire in Uri, targeting civilians. Indian Border Security Forces thwarted a significant infiltration attempt along the Samba district border.

The aftermath of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam has heightened tensions in neighboring Punjab and Rajasthan, leading to a flustered Pakistani military that conducted airstrikes on Indian territory.

Anticipating such moves, the Indian army effectively intercepted Pakistani missiles and fighter jets, while simultaneously retaliating with strikes in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore, showcasing India's tactical preparedness against its neighbor's aggressive actions.
