Rishikesh, 09 February (HS): Bollywood actress Vani Kapoor reached the pilgrimage city Rishikesh and offered prayers at Purnanand Ghat, Jankipul.

Kapoor met Rishikesh Ganga Aarti Trust President Hariom Sharma Gyani and thanked him for starting Mahila Ganga Aarti. H

She discussed women empowerment, gender equality in India and equal opportunities for women.

Vani Kapoor said that when they came to know that for the first time, women of Uttarakhand perform aarti of Maa Ganga at Purnanand Ghat, I wanted to do aarti with them but I am late and assured that whenever I come to Uttarakhand, Ganga with women I will definitely do aarti.
