Mamata from Jharkhand becomes NCW member


Ranchi, 27 Feb (HS): A Jharkhand resident Mamta Kumari became one of the three members of National Commission For Women (NCW) on Monday.

She is from Bakasara under Motia police station of Godda district in the state. She is wife of former MLA Prashant Mandal.

Two others appointed with her include Delina Khongdup from Meghalaya and Khusboo Sundar from Chennai. Their tenure will be of three years from the date of assumption or till the age of 65 or until further order, whichever is the earliest, according to a letter issued by the ministry of women and child development.
