Maldah, 29 December (HS): West Bengal is getting another new train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two Amrit Bharat trains simultaneously from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The Prime Minister will inaugurate two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat Express trains. One of these trains will run from Malda Town station to Sir M. Vishweshwar Terminal in Bengaluru. Another Amrit Bharat train will run from Darbhanga to Anand Vihar via Ayodhya.
The question arises: why was Maldah chosen instead of Howrah or Sealdah for the new train? According to a section of political circles, this station has been chosen to give special importance to North Bengal. Many people from North Bengal catch the train from Malda Town. Both of these trains are the country''s first Amrit Bharat Express trains.
According to the railways, there is a special technology in these trains called semi-coupler technology. The maximum speed of the train is 130 km per hour. Passengers will not feel any shock on these trains. In this train, two engines will be installed on both sides of the train. The minimum fare for this train will be ₹35.
