Lucknow, 09 August (H.S.): The state government has launched

a new initiative aimed at the all-round development of the state's youth, proper

utilization of their abilities, and providing better opportunities in various

fields, including higher education, vocational education, employment, and

entrepreneurship. Under this initiative, young officers from the Indian

Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest

Service (IFS) will regularly interact with intermediate-level students,

motivating them, and providing career guidance.

Sarathi Sen Sharma has directed the Director General, School Education, Uttar

Pradesh, Lucknow to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of the

program. All divisional commissioners have also been directed to review the

program from time to time at their level. Instructions have also been issued to

the Director, Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, all divisional joint

education directors (secondary) and all district school inspectors. District

school inspectors have been expected to inform the schools concerned about the

program at their level and establish necessary coordination between the

concerned officer and the school management system, so that the smooth and

effective operation of the program can be ensured.

Sarathi Sen Sharma, stated that the Chief Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh

Government has issued instructions to all District Magistrates, stating that

young IAS, IPS, and IFS officers posted in each district should visit at least

one intermediate-level school every month and interact with students. During

this period, the officers' experiences, work styles, and life struggles will

serve as a source of inspiration for the students, while the dialogue will help

address their queries and channel their aspirations.

Participatory discussions and question-answer sessions will

be prioritized during these programs. Students will have the opportunity to

interact directly with officials to ask questions about their future, career,

and competitive exams. The interactive programs may cover topics such as life

goal setting and career planning, effective study methods, time management, and

self-discipline.

Along with this, information and guidance will also be given

to the students regarding preparation for various competitive examinations

including UPSC, UPPSC, UPSSSC, SSC, NDA, IIT-JEE, NEET, CUET, state level

eligibility examinations and Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection

Commission. In the programmes, students will also be given information about

opportunities related to higher education, technical education, vocational

education, entrepreneurship and startups. Apart from this, they will be made

aware of the major youth-related schemes of the Central and State Government.

Keeping the scope of the dialogue wide, important topics like financial skills,

communication skills, business management, cyber security, de-addiction and

stress management and self-confidence development have also been included in

it.

According to the instructions, District Magistrates will

prepare a calendar of these programs each month and ensure that all young

officers posted in the district participate wholeheartedly in this initiative.

Each district will be required to prepare a brief description of the programs

organized and provide it to the Government's Secondary Education Department by

the 5th of each month. The report will include the number of school visits,

school names, officials participating in the program, key topics of discussion,

and suggestions received from students. District Magistrates have also been

given the freedom to personally review the quality of the programs and innovate

at their own level.

Providing timely, appropriate guidance and positive

counseling can help young people progress on the path of development. Direct

interactions with senior officials will provide students with practical

insights into administrative services and various career options, while also

fostering confidence and a positive outlook.
