Lucknow, 09 August (H.S.)Under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,

the Bharatiya Janata Party organised a Tiranga Yatra from the Chief Minister's

residence to Lok Bhavan in the capital Lucknow on Sunday. The Tiranga Yatra was

inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the presence of

BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary. After this, holding the tricolour in

their hands and chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,

State President Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya,

Brajesh Pathak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Transport

Minister Dayashankar Singh, BJP Headquarters in-charge Govind Narayan Shukla,

State General Secretary Dilip Patel also joined the Yatra along with the

workers.

Speaking at the launch of the Tiranga Yatra, the Chief

Minister said that the tricolor is a symbol of our heritage and India's pride

and glory. A decision has been taken to punish those who insult the national

anthem and national song, classifying them as cognizable offenses. We will remain

in India, but insulting Indian symbols, Indian great men, the national anthem,

and the national song will no longer be tolerated.

The Chief Minister asked why it took 75 years for something

that should have been done in 1947. For some, power was paramount, but for

Modi, nation comes first. He has set an example for all of us by providing a

platform for India's icons, youth, women, and farmers to move forward with new

schemes.

The Chief Minister appealed to everyone to hoist the

tricolor at home, keeping in mind the mantra of the tricolor, with the pledge

of the Tiranga Yatra in every home. He said that during the Congress regime,

one had to fight to hoist the tricolor at home. India's Prime Minister Narendra

Modi has given 1.4 billion Indians the freedom to hoist the tricolor at home. A

large number of students from various schools in the city participated in the

Tiranga Yatra.
