
Guwahati, 09 August (HS): Members of Parliament have allocated funds from their MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for infrastructure development in flood-affected areas across four districts of Assam.
Union Minister of State Pabitra Margherita has allocated ₹1 crore from his MP fund for the flood-hit areas. Rajya Sabha MP Birendra Prasad Baishya has contributed ₹50 lakh.
MPs Pradan Baruah and Phani Bhushan Choudhury have each allocated ₹25 lakh for the affected regions.
The funds will be utilised for infrastructure development and improvement in the flood-affected areas.-----------
