
Jammu, 09 August (H.S.): Member Legislative Assembly, Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan today laid foundation of 22 water supply schemes restoration works from Janglote village.
Raghunandan Singh Bablu, former Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kathua, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division (PHE Civil), Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division (PHE Mechanical), Assistant Executive Engineers, Davinder Singh Jasrotia, former Joint Director, Planning, Narinder Singh Jasrotia former District Manager Gramin Bank, other officials of Civil & Mechanical Divisions of Kathua Jal Shakti Department & prominent citizens of Janglote Panchayat were among those present on the occasion.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, while speaking on the occasion complimented the Union Government for liberal assistance to carry out permanent restoration works in J&K pertaining to Public Works Department, Flood Control, Rural Development & Water Supplies Department & other sectors which experienced massive damages during floods of August-2025. He said that with the release of 4.16 crores, water supply schemes which were damaged last year will be restored permanently.
He added that permanent restoration of damaged water supply infrastructure will be carried out in Dilwan, Janglote, Kathua Town, Chak Sona Nupa, Govindsar- Kharote, Jagatpur, Chak Gadhadhar, Matandi, Chak Rijju, Changran, Dhanore, Lakhanpur, Khanyara, Maha, Karroh Khokhyal, Goond, Mirpur Ram, Narolian villages and the drinking water supply of these villages will provide relief to around two lakh population of Kathua constituency.
