Sivasagar, 09 August (HS): Assam Minister Bimal Bora on Sunday inspected the flood-damaged historic Namdang Stone Bridge and took stock of the situation in the affected areas.

The minister also visited Jerenga Pathar and Rupohipathar in Namdang, where water remained stagnant following the recent floods. Accompanied by departmental officials, Bora assessed the situation and reviewed measures to drain the accumulated water from the affected areas.

He directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps for the early removal of the stagnant water and restoration of normal conditions.----------
