Pune, 07 Aug (HS): One individual died in an

accident in a tunnel on Mumbai-Pune missing link (Connecting Link) when a Toyota

Fortuner car hit a good transport tempo from behind. The car was badly damaged

killing Tushar Bhumkar, a resident of Wakad area in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune

district. The accident occurred around 1.20 am on Friday. Another person received

injuries in the accident.

The Fortuner was going towards Mumbai with a high

speed. Bhumkar died on the accident site, while three others in the car survived

safety. The survivors are also residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

Police shifted the injured to a hospital and the

body was sent for a post-mortem. An investigation has been initiated.
