
Bhubaneswar, 07 August (H.S.) : Pravati Parida chaired a state-level seminar-cum-review meeting on strengthening women-led enterprises, organised by the Mission Shakti Department at Krushi Shiksha Sadan, OUAT.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that improving the quality, competitiveness and sustainability of women-led enterprises remains a key priority for the state government. She emphasised that enhancing market access, capacity building and adoption of technology are crucial to increasing women’s income and promoting self-reliance.
Parida called for stronger coordination among officials and stakeholders to advance women’s entrepreneurship and rural livelihoods across Odisha.
The meeting reviewed the progress of various livelihood programmes and discussed field-level challenges, implementation gaps and strategies for improvement. Deliberations focused on strengthening programme effectiveness, promoting enterprise growth and ensuring better convergence among stakeholders.
Senior officials, including Manasi Nimbhal and Monica Priyadarshini, along with representatives from the Odisha Livelihoods Mission and district- and block-level functionaries, participated in the review meeting.
