
Hooghly, 06 August (H.S.): A new Laparoscopy Department has been inaugurated at Uttarpara General Hospital under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. The introduction of the new facility is expected to provide patients with access to more advanced and improved medical services.
The new department was inaugurated by Uttarpara MLA Dipanjan Chakraborty on ThursdayUttarpara Laparoscopy Unit. Doctors, healthcare workers, hospital officials and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration programme.
With the launch of the laparoscopy facility, the use of modern techniques in various surgical procedures will become more accessible at the hospital. The minimally invasive procedure, which involves smaller incisions compared to conventional surgery, is expected to reduce discomfort for patients and support faster recovery.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Dipanjan Chakraborty said that ensuring quality healthcare services for common people remains one of the government’s key priorities. He expressed hope that the new laparoscopy department at Uttarpara General Hospital would greatly benefit residents of the area.
The hospital authorities stated that the new facility will further strengthen healthcare services in the region and provide patients with better treatment options.
