Aug 6 (HS): National Service Scheme of SHUATS organised Viksit Bharat Connect
Programme in JIBB (Biotech.) auditorium. In the programme Prof. (Dr.) Deepak
Lal, Director, IQAC was the Chief Guest, Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Youth Officer,
Regional Directorate of NSS, Lucknow was the Guest of Honour and Shikhar
Kaushik, Youth Icon was the lead speaker.
The
event begun with word of God by Dr.Sapna S.Smith, NSS Programme officer. The
NSS Coordinator Dr.Dipak Kumar Bose said that educational institutes have a key
role in spreading awareness against drug abuse.
Guest
Prof. Lal told that substance use starts as a casual choice, but addiction
gradually takes full control of a person’s life. Guest of honour Tiwari informed that Directorate of NSS,
Lucknow continuously supporting institute to perform several activities against
drug abuse. The lead speaker Kaushik highlighted on Basha Mukt Bharat Abhigyan,
panch Pran, 11 sankalp, growth engines, digital India and sustainable
development. An anti-drug pledge was conducted in the end of the programme. Satyam
Kumar Kesari, Nodal Officer of the programme told about effects of drug abuse
and give vote of thanks. A total of 237 NSS volunteers, teaching and non
teaching staff were present in the programme.

Dr.R.N.Shukla, Dr.Mukesh Kumar Maurya, Dr.Sobha Thakur, Dr.Shilpa Rana,
Dr.Sapna S.Lal, Mr.Bipin Kumar Singh, Dr.Saumya, Prateek Kumar Nikhil S. Tiwari
and NSS volunteers Anurag Gupta were actively involved in the programme.
