Lucknow, August 06 (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

expressed grief over the loss of life in a late-night incident in Pratapgarh

district. Rain caused a nearly 100-year-old house to collapse in Mahuli Ward,

part of the city's Kotwali area. Six people were buried under the debris,

killing six family members. At the time of the incident, all family members

were sleeping in the same room. Upon receiving the information, administration

and police officials, along with their teams, launched rescue and relief

operations.

Mahuli residents Nitin Srivastava (24), Madhav (2), Rita

Srivastava (42), Pramod Srivastava (45), Madhuri (24), and Babu (6 months) died

in the accident, while Aman Srivastava was injured. The Chief Minister has

directed the local district administration and the Chief Medical Officer to

ensure proper treatment for the injured Aman.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences on

this tragic incident by posting on his social media account X. He

wrote, The loss of life in the unfortunate accident in Pratapgarh

district is deeply saddening. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I

pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed souls a place in his feet and

speedy recovery to the injured.
