Hooghly, 06 August (H.S.): Uttarpara MLA Dipanjan Chakraborty has issued a stern warning against illegally operating salons and garages in the Nabagram area, stating that strict legal action will be taken against establishments found violating government rules and regulations.

According to local sources, the legality and regulatory approvals of several salons and garages in Nabagram have come under scrutiny. Allegations have surfaced that some businesses are operating without obtaining the necessary licences and statutory permissions. Following these complaints, the administration has initiated a verification process.

Chakraborty said on Thursday that no commercial establishment would be allowed to function in violation of the law. He stated that businesses failing to produce valid licences and other mandatory documents would face action in accordance with the law. If required, illegal structures or unauthorised establishments could also be demolished.

The MLA, however, clarified that traders and business owners operating legally and complying with all applicable regulations would not face any inconvenience. He added that any action would be taken only after a proper administrative inquiry and in accordance with due legal procedure.
