Aug 6 (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to prepare an

integrated youth policy for the overall development of the youth of the state.

He said that the possibility of forming an independent State Youth Commission

with the participation of experts should also be considered for continuous

monitoring, evaluation of the programs related to the overall development of

the youth and providing necessary suggestions from time to time. This

commission should regularly review the programs related to youth, give

necessary suggestions and help in making the policies and programs more

effective as per the changing needs. He said that the youth policy of the state

should be prepared in accordance with the changing expectations, aspirations

and future needs of the youth.

In

a meeting on Thursday, the Chief Minister directed that before formulating a

youth policy, the expectations, aspirations, and needs of the state's youth

aged 16 to 35 should be understood. The policy-making process should ensure the

participation of students, athletes, researchers, startup entrepreneurs, young

professionals, and youth from various backgrounds. Suggestions should also be

invited through the public domain, so that the policy can be tailored to the

actual needs of youth and future challenges.

The

Chief Minister said that special emphasis should be placed on the effective

implementation of all youth-oriented schemes in the state. By establishing

better coordination between various departments, it should be ensured that the

benefits of the schemes reach every eligible youth in a timely and transparent

manner. The youth policy should be comprehensively integrated, encompassing all

important aspects of youth personality, including education and skill

development, entrepreneurship, employment and innovation, digital empowerment,

health, sports, leadership development, and culture and heritage.

The

Chief Minister directed that skill development based on modern technologies

should be prioritized to prepare youth for future needs. Training in artificial

intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, drones, semiconductors, and other

emerging fields should be promoted. A conducive environment for

entrepreneurship and innovation should be developed in every district. Youth

incubation centers, startup promotion, employment generation, and an integrated

digital platform for youth should provide a one-stop shop for career guidance,

scholarships, job matching, and other services.

The

Chief Minister directed that work on establishing the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Industrial and Employment Zone be initiated soon. He said that the Chief

Minister's Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme should be implemented more effectively.

This scheme has yielded positive results. The possibilities of expanding it to

every university and college campus should be explored, ensuring the

participation of young IAS and IPS officers and other experts. He said that

many prestigious private coaching institutes are also seeking to establish

their facilities in Uttar Pradesh. The state's youth should benefit from this

favorable environment.

The

Chief Minister stated that sports activities are an effective means of keeping

youth away from social evils like drug addiction. Work should be accelerated to

develop sports grounds in every Gram Panchayat, mini sports complexes in every

development block, sports excellence centers in every district, and high performance

centers in every division. He stated that his previous efforts to construct

indoor stadiums using MLA funds have yielded very positive results. He also

stated that modern libraries, study centers, and reading spaces should be

expanded for youth to provide a better environment for studying and preparing

for competitive exams.
