New Delhi, 06 August (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reviewed the progress of the recruitment process being conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) for the education and health sectors. She stressed the need to expedite appointments, resolve pending recruitment-related issues, and ensure timely opportunities for eligible candidates.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood was also present during the review meeting.

During the meeting held on Wednesday, the Chief Minister discussed several key issues, including pending recruitment examinations and the announcement of results, department-wise vacancies, requisitions submitted for recruitment, the progress of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment, and matters related to the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

The meeting also reviewed vacancies in the Directorate of Education, pending results and dossiers, recruitment progress for Operation Theatre (OT) assistants, technicians, optometrists, and radiographers, along with updates on the e-appointment portal related to paramedical and nursing recruitments.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the government is committed to ensuring a transparent, merit-based, and time-bound recruitment process. She said timely completion of recruitment drives would create more opportunities for the youth while also strengthening the delivery of essential public services.

Education Minister Ashish Sood, in a post on social media platform X on Thursday, said the review meeting focused on speeding up appointments, resolving pending recruitment matters, and ensuring timely opportunities for deserving candidates.

He said that by accelerating recruitment and addressing the issue of vacant posts, the Delhi government is working to create more opportunities for qualified candidates while building a stronger workforce in the education and healthcare sectors.
