Guwahati, 06 August (HS): Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury was sworn in as the State Chief Information Commissioner of Assam at a solemn ceremony held at the conference hall of Lok Bhavan in Guwahati on Thursday.

Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to Dev Choudhury in the presence of senior government officials.

Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Dr. Ravi Kota, sought the Governor's permission to commence the oath-taking ceremony.

The event was attended by State Information Commissioner Dr. Reep Hazarika, State Information Commissioner Utpal Baruah, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor S.S. Meenakshi Sundara, Commissioner and Secretary of the ARTPPG Department Dr. Patibandla Ashok Babu, along with several senior officers of the state government.----------
