Guwahati, 06 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will provide financial assistance to schools in four flood-affected districts on Thursday. During the programme, he will also formally launch the application process for the Nijut Moina and Nijut Babu welfare schemes.

Under the Nijut Moina scheme, girl students of Classes XI and XII will receive ₹800 per month, while undergraduate students will be entitled to ₹1,250 per month. Postgraduate girl students will receive ₹2,500 per month.

Under the Nijut Babu scheme, male undergraduate students will receive ₹1,000 per month, while postgraduate students will be provided ₹2,000 per month.

The Chief Minister will also officially release the application forms for both the Nijut Moina and Nijut Babu schemes during the event.----------
