New Delhi, 04 August (H.S.): The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Tuesday held an extensive deliberation with MPs from its constituent parties on various initiatives aimed at youth development and expanding employment opportunities. The alliance also reviewed preparations for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games in India.

At the NDA Parliamentary Party's weekly 'Mangal Milan' meeting, held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya delivered two special presentations on the above subjects. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, along with several senior NDA leaders and Members of Parliament, attended the meeting. The alliance also finalised its strategy for securing the passage of key legislation in both Houses during the remaining 10 days of the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

According to sources, the meeting focused on floor management strategy for the remainder of the Monsoon Session, legislative business, and improving coordination among NDA allies. Following the discussions, Mandaviya delivered two detailed presentations. The first centred on the 2030 Commonwealth Games and youth-related initiatives, while the second focused on employment generation and opportunities for young people.

Three MPs of the NCPI—Abu Tahir, Khalilur Rahaman, and Yusuf Pathan—remained absent from the 'Mangal Milan' meeting for the second consecutive week. They had also skipped last Tuesday's meeting. Their continued absence has fuelled political speculation, with reports suggesting they may be considering a return to the Trinamool Congress. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on Tuesday. However, neither the three MPs nor the NCPI has issued any official statement regarding the speculation.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, BJP MP Ravi Kishan described the deliberations as productive. He said the participants were informed that India's development journey is progressing at a very good pace. He added that meaningful discussions were held on key issues such as GDP growth, employment, and opportunities for the country's youth.
