Prayagraj, 11 August (H.S.): Congress National

Secretary and Observer for the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, Szarita Laitphlang,

said that a strong Congress is essential for the unity, integrity and strength

of the country. Addressing the City and both DCC units Sammelan held at Shankar Lal Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday,

she praised Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for standing against the politics

of hatred being pursued by the Central Government.

She said that all avenues of employment are

gradually being closed for students and the youth, leading to growing

disappointment and frustration among them. “We have to work together to remove

this growing sense of despair among the youth,” she said.

Szarita Laitphlang emphasized the need to

strengthen the organizational structure of the Congress. She said that workers

from the blocks, wards and booths of all three organizational units, along with

workers from the two Lok Sabha constituencies and twelve Assembly

constituencies, must unite and work collectively to make the Congress

organization stronger at the grassroots level.

The programme was presided over by City Congress

President Fuzail Hashmi, while former State Congress spokesperson Kishore Varshney

conducted the proceedings. Ashok Patel, Ashfaq Ahmad, Anil Srivastava, Ujjwal

Shukla, Imran Khan, Harkesh Tripathi, Mukund Tiwari, Tasleemuddin, Sanjay

Tiwari, Vijay Mishra, Parvez Ansari, Ashish Pandey, Santosh Singh, Khushnaveda

Farooqui, Alpana Nishad, Vijay Yadav, Arshad Ali, Narayan Singh Patel, Ram

Manohar Saroj, Haseeb Ahmad, and hundreds of Congress workers were present.
