Hooghly, 11 August (H.S.): West Bengal government Minister of State for the PHE and Labour departments, Bhaskar Bhattacharya, conducted a surprise inspection of Serampore Police Station on Tuesday.

During the visit, the minister inspected various facilities and took stock of the overall functioning and arrangements at the police station. He also interacted with police officers and personnel to understand the day-to-day functioning of the station and the services being provided to the public.

Bhattacharya expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements at the police station. He also discussed the availability of basic infrastructure and facilities for police personnel.

The minister said that providing better services to the public requires police personnel to have adequate facilities and a proper working environment. He assured that he would extend all possible support in the future for the development of basic infrastructure and facilities at the police station.

During the inspection, the minister also discussed the local law-and-order situation with police officials and stressed the need to give priority to resolving the grievances and problems of local residents.

The surprise inspection also brought increased activity among police officials and personnel at the station, as the minister reviewed the arrangements and discussed various issues with the officers.
