Guwahati, 11 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said repair work on breached embankments in Jorhat district is progressing at a rapid pace and being carried out round the clock.

In a social media post, Sarma said that according to the latest information, repair work at four of the five identified breach sites has been completed.

He said the repair work at Shalmara is currently in its final stage and is expected to be completed soon.--------
