
Mumbai, 11 Aug (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis has issued orders to conduct third party audit of every Ashram Shala
getting grants from the government. He also issued orders to permanently withdraw
licence of Japatlai Ashram Shala in Gadchiroli, where three girl students died
of snake bite.
The students in the school had to sleep on the floor
due non-availability of cots. The negligence in administration also came to the
fore. Fadnavis said that lapses in security of the students will not be
tolerated.
Besides permanently cancelling licence of the
school, the officer who issued compliance report to the school had been
suspended.
Three students died due to snake bite, while three
others have been hospitalised. The condition of one of them is critical.
