
New Delhi, 08 July (H.S.): The makers of the much-awaited biographical film Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story on former India captain Sourav Ganguly unveiled its first-look poster on Wednesday to mark the cricket legend's birthday. The producers also announced that the film will be released in cinemas worldwide on May 14, 2027.
The first-look poster features Rajkummar Rao recreating Ganguly's iconic celebration on the Lord's balcony, where he waved his jersey after India's memorable victory over England in the 2002 NatWest Trophy final. The moment is widely regarded as the beginning of a fearless new era in Indian cricket.

The biopic will trace Sourav Ganguly's journey from a young aspiring cricketer to one of the most influential captains in the history of Indian cricket. It will highlight his struggles, determination, leadership qualities and the bold decisions that transformed the mindset of Indian cricket and reshaped the national team.
The film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. It is presented by T-Series and DBL. Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, 2027.
