Silchar (Assam), 31 July (HS): Four labourers killed of suspected oxygen suffocation while cleaning a water tank at Kumarpara in Joynagar area of Assam's Cachar district.

According to reports on Friday, the workers had entered the water tank to clean it when they reportedly became trapped due to a lack of oxygen. All four lost their lives in the tragic incident.

Police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident. The owner of the building, identified as Gautam Pal, has been detained for questioning.
