Kanpur, 31 July (HS): Understanding AI and machine learning

has become crucial in today's changing professional environment. This program

will prepare participants to meet real business challenges by providing practical

knowledge relevant to industry needs, said Professor Abhinav Tripathi, faculty

member and program coordinator of the Department of Management Sciences at the

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, on Friday.

IIT Kanpur has launched a six-month online certificate

course titled Advanced Data Science and Machine Learning for Business

Analytics. The program will begin on October 3. It aims to provide working

professionals with industry-relevant skills in the areas of artificial

intelligence, machine learning, and business analytics. The program will

provide hands-on training in Python, R programming, data analytics, data

visualization, machine learning, and generative AI by experts from IITs and

IIMs. Participants will also gain experience in solving real business problems,

automating tasks, and data-driven decision-making techniques.

This course is open to candidates with a bachelor's degree

in any subject. A minimum of 55 percent marks is required, while those with

three years or more of work experience in a relevant field can apply with 40

percent marks. Applications are open until mid-September. Detailed program
