Guwahati, 31 July (HS): An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Dispur Police Station arrested an alleged burglar and two receivers of stolen property during a targeted operation. The Guwahati Police Commissionerate on Friday informed.

The arrested accused have been identified as Biki Paswan (25) of Rukminigaon, Isub Ali (26) of Datalpara and Sushil Mandal alias Bappi (50) of Kalapahar.

During the operation, police recovered and seized stolen silver ornaments, 30 grams of melted gold and ₹66,000 in cash, which is suspected to be the proceeds from the sale of stolen property.

Police said legal action has been initiated against the accused and further investigation is underway.----------
