Lucknow, 03 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath routinely cites the memory of Kargil War hero and Param Vir Chakra

recipient Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey to encourage youth and patriotism across

the state. CM Yogi constantly pays public tribute to the braveheart on his

birth anniversary (June 25) and throughout Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations,

emphasizing his heroic sacrifice at Khalubar Top in the Batalik Sector. To

honor its illustrious alumnus, the U.P. Sainik School in Lucknow was formally

renamed Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey U.P. Sainik School in 2017.

He penned a post on X, which reads as follows: “On the

martyrdom day of Kargil War's immortal hero, symbol of unwavering devotion to

duty, Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, honored with the 'Param Vir Chakra', a humble

tribute. His supreme sacrifice and valor for the defense of the motherland will

forever remain an inspiration for the nation.”
