
Stamp Duty Officer Kiran Chaudhari was caught taking
bribe
Jalgaon. 03 July (HS): The anti-Corruption Buraeu
recovered cash and gold ornaments worth around three crore rupees from the residence
of Stamp Duty Officer Kiran Chaudhari, who was caught red handed while
accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on June 26 in Akola. The seized includes more
than Rs 1.50 in cash.
The ACB personnel raided his houses in Nashik and
Jalagon and seized gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 2,94,64,847.
Some relatives tried to open the locked house in
Saiprabha Arcade, Vishnunagar in Jalpagon to destroy the evidence on June 28.
City Police Kotwali Police have arrested the relatives.
Police recovered Rs 1,53,84,630 cash, gold ornaments
(422.100 gm) worth Rs 60,57,135, doemnts related to purchase of various properties
worth Rs 62,13,376, Silver ornaments worth 31,416, recipts relating to purchase
of gold ornaments worth Rs 11,52,745 and various other items worth Rs 6,25,454.
Further investigation into the wealth amassed by
Chaudhari is in progress.
