Shahi said that due to the efforts of Modi and Yogi Government, seeds,
fertilizers and irrigation facilities are being provided to the farmers on time
during the Kharif season. A target of about 107 lakh hectare area was set for
Kharif crops in the year 2026, of which about 95 percent coverage has been
completed.
1,73,641 quintals of certified seeds have been made
available to farmers at 50 per cent subsidy, besides 16,449 quintals of free
minikits of crops like pulses, oilseeds, millet and sawa have been distributed.
Under the Toria Seed Minikit Scheme, 1,000 quintals of Toria seeds will be made
available, in which 600 quintals will be distributed as free minikits and 400
quintals will be distributed on subsidy.
To promote agricultural mechanization, online booking of
agricultural equipment has been started, and farmers are being provided farm
machine banks, custom hiring centres and 40 percent to 80 percent subsidy on
agricultural equipment. Between April 1 and July 28, 2026, the state received
57.70 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer, out of which 28.88 lakh metric tonnes
have been distributed to the farmers and 28.82 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer
is still available.
Earlier, where about 1,500 cooperative societies used to
distribute fertilizers, now fertilizers are being delivered to the farmers
through about 7,000 resource cooperative societies.
In the last one week, fertilizers have been sold at record
levels every day, on many days 50 thousand to 65 thousand metric tonnes of urea
has been distributed every day. Giving top priority to the interests of
farmers, the Modi and Yogi government has strengthened the availability of
fertilizers, strengthening of cooperative institutions, agricultural
mechanization, distribution of quality seeds and irrigation system.
