New Delhi, 29 July (H.S.): Samajwadi Party (SP) MPs staged a protest in the Parliament complex on Wednesday over allegations of theft and misappropriation of donations made at the Ram Temple. The protesting MPs were seen carrying donation boxes and posters while raising slogans against the Central Government.

The demonstration was led by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, along with party MP Dimple Yadav and several other lawmakers. SP leaders alleged that the government had failed to ensure the security of donations offered by devotees at the temple.

Akhilesh Yadav said that a government which cannot protect the donation box of a temple cannot be expected to safeguard the future of the country and its youth. He demanded an impartial investigation into the matter, strict action against those found responsible and accountability to be fixed for the alleged lapses.
