New Delhi, 29 July (H.S.): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday expressed concern over the severe flood situation in Assam, saying the entire country should stand firmly with the people of the state during this difficult time.

In a post on social media platform X, Kejriwal said the flood situation in Assam was extremely alarming and stressed that the nation must extend its support to the people affected by the disaster.

Appealing to the Central Government, the former Chief Minister urged it to find a permanent solution to Assam's recurring flood problem so that people do not have to face such devastation year after year.

Kejriwal also appealed to Aam Aadmi Party workers and citizens across the country to extend all possible assistance to flood-affected people in Assam and actively support ongoing relief operations.

It is noteworthy that the recent floods in Assam have caused widespread devastation, with more than 75 people reported dead and nearly 800,000 affected. The worst-hit areas include the Upper Assam districts of Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Charaideo.
