Four schools receive threat calls; anti-sabotage teams launch searches, police suspect hoax but continue investigationAbohar, 29 July (H.S.): Panic gripped Abohar town on Wednesday morning after several private schools received bomb threat calls, prompting authorities to suspend classes and send students home as a precautionary measure.According to the police, four private schools received threatening calls at around 9 a.m. Following the alerts, the district administration immediately activated security protocols, and anti-sabotage teams were deployed to conduct thorough searches of the affected school premises.Abohar DSP Harish Kumar said all necessary security measures had been put in place to rule out any potential threat. He added that detailed inspections of the school campuses were underway to ensure that no explosive devices were present.Following the threats, the school managements declared a holiday and safely evacuated students and staff, giving top priority to their safety.Preliminary investigations suggest that the threats may have been a hoax. However, the police said they are not taking any chances and have launched a detailed investigation to identify those responsible for the threatening calls.
