Sugee Group announces entry into Thane with 50-acre waterfront commercial project

Mumbai, July 28 (HS): Mumbai-based real estate developer Sugee Group on Tuesday announced its foray into the Thane market with plans to develop a 50-plus acre waterfront commercial project in Thane West, marking the company's expansion beyond its established presence in Mumbai.

The company said the proposed development will be centred around Siddheshwar Lake and is envisioned as an integrated commercial district offering Grade A+ office spaces along with supporting infrastructure. The project aims to cater to the growing demand for premium commercial real estate in Thane, which has emerged as one of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region's fastest-growing business destinations.

According to the company, the project has been designed under the guidance of architect Hafeez Contractor and seeks to integrate commercial infrastructure with the natural waterfront landscape surrounding Siddheshwar Lake.

Commenting on the development, Sugee Group Founder and Managing Partner Nishant Deshmukh said Thane has witnessed significant residential growth in recent years and is now entering a new phase of commercial expansion. He said the company intends to develop premium commercial spaces to meet the requirements of businesses looking for quality infrastructure outside Mumbai's traditional commercial hubs.

The company said the project is expected to benefit from Thane's expanding infrastructure network, including upcoming Metro corridors, the Thane-Borivali twin tunnel project, the Thane Coastal Road, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor and improved connectivity to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Speaking on the project's architectural vision, Hafeez Contractor said the development has been planned around Siddheshwar Lake to create an integrated commercial environment that combines connectivity, open spaces and sustainable urban planning. He said the objective is to develop a business district that complements Thane's future urban growth.

Sugee Group said it has a portfolio of over 60 completed and ongoing projects across India as well as overseas markets, including the United Arab Emirates and Portugal. The company stated that its ongoing and completed developments together account for more than 50 million square feet of built-up area.

The developer said the Thane project forms part of its long-term expansion strategy and is expected to contribute to the city's evolving commercial landscape by creating modern office infrastructure for businesses.
