Prayagraj, 26 July (HS): On the instructions of Samajwadi

Party National President Akhilesh Yadav and State President Shyam Lal Pal, Constitution-Manastambh

Raising Day (or Samvidhan-Manastambh Sthapana Diwas) in conjunction with

Reservation Day (Aarakshan Divas) across all party offices and its

headquarters in Uttar Pradesh. The event was also celebrated as an annual event

at the Metropolitan Office in Chowk. Metropolitan President Syed Iftekhar

Hussain, who presided over the event, said that on this day, the reservation

concept envisioned by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was implemented in his Kolhapur

state by the most respected and exemplary Maharaj Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahuji

Maharaj of Kolhapur. Reservation was initiated on this day.

Metropolitan General Secretary Ravindra Yadav Ravi said that

the spirit of social justice was implemented in the form of reservation on June

26, which later, through the efforts of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, became the

fundamental basis for ensuring social justice as a public right in our

Constitution. A glimpse of this was seen today in the historic victory achieved

through demonstrations, hunger strikes, and mass protests at Jantar Mantar in

Delhi, the heart of the country, forcing the Education Minister to resign.

Many other people also expressed their views on the basic

principles of reservation, the architect of the Constitution and the

Constitutional Pillar Foundation Day. On this occasion, Iftekhar Hussain,

Ravindra Yadav Ravi, Mehboob Usmani, Mohammad Shariq, Mohammad Azhar, Rajesh

Kumar Gupta, Ravi Gupta, Babban Dubey, Mrityunjay, Mahendra Nishad, Pandey,

Prabhat Kumar, Harishchandra Srivastava, Mohammad Yusuf Ansari, Chaudhary Devi

Lal, Jai Bharat Pratap, Bhola Pal, Syed Asif Hussain, Tahir Umar, Aarti Pal,

Ankit Kumar Patel, Shamshad Khan, Pankaj Sahu, Mehboob Alam, Neeraj Kumar,

Kamlesh Pal, Rambhavan Yadav, Mohammad Saud, Akhilesh Pal, Shashi Bhushan

Pandey, Khurshid Ahmed, Ravi Bharatiya, Varun Sonkar, Tabrez Ahmed, Gyan Singh,

Vaibhav Rawat, Jitendra Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Nafees Khan, Navendu Kumar were

present. Hundreds of Samajwadi workers including Pal, Akash Yadav, Azharuddin,

Rajesh Kumar Yadav were present.
