Lucknow, 26 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be targeting the
SP's seven assembly seats in Mainpuri and Etawah in a single day. Following the
2022 assembly elections, the by-election for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat after
the death of Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav, the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and now,
ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, UP CM is busy preparing the pitch for a
project gift just before the elections. Etawah and Mainpuri are considered the
biggest strongholds of the Samajwadi Party (SP). This is why the BJP places a
special focus on these districts. Etawah has three assembly seats: Etawah
Sadar, Bharthana, and Jaswantnagar. Mainpuri has four seats: Mainpuri, Bhogaon,
Kishini, and Karhal. Despite considerable efforts, four of the seven seats
remain with the Samajwadi Party. In Etawah, the District Panchayat President
and the Member of Parliament are also from the Samajwadi Party.
To hold continuous tour of the districts in a single day: Along with the
Assembly constituency, the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat is also considered strong
for the SP. Dimple Yadav is currently the MP. The Jaswantnagar seat in Etawah
plays a crucial role in strengthening the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat. The SP's
powerful leader Shivpal Singh Yadav is the MLA from here. For this reason,
Etawah is also important for Mainpuri. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has
scheduled a day for consecutive district visits these days. After first
targeting Mainpuri, the Chief Minister will target Etawah in the evening.
Minister in charge and regional vice president will also be present: Minister
in charge Baby Rani Maurya and regional vice president Kamlavati will also be
present at the event. Only the Sadar MLA and district president will be allowed
on stage. It is estimated that approximately 10,000 people will attend the
event. All arrangements for the event have been made by an agency from Lucknow.
People who left the party can be included: Some people from other parties
may also attend the Chief Minister's program on Sunday. Some of these people
include those who left the BJP and joined the SP and those who are preparing to
leave the SP and join the BJP. However, the district organization has not
confirmed this.
In a post on X, UP CM stated, “With the aim of giving new momentum to the
resolve for honoring teachers, public welfare, and development, today I am
fortunate to participate in the important public welfare programs being
organized on the sacred soil of the districts of Agra, Mainpuri, and Etawah. In
Agra, the launch of the 'Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme' will
take place. At the same time, the inauguration/foundation stone laying of 239
development projects costing more than approximately Rs. 1,286 crore for the
Mainpuri, Karhal, Etawah, Jaswantnagar, and Bharthana Assembly constituencies
will be done. Approval letters, cheques, tool-kits, and certificates will also
be distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes. These initiatives will
prove to be the cornerstone of a new era of all-round development in the
region, providing new momentum to public amenities, health security, and
prosperity.”
