
Guwahati, 25 July (HS): A sensational theft has been reported at the Kali Temple in Basistha area of Guwahati City, where thieves allegedly decamped with ornaments worth around ₹10 lakh adorning the idol of the goddess.
According to initial reports, the burglars gained entry into the temple by breaking open a window before carrying out the theft. The stolen valuables included gold and other ornaments placed on the deity.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining the circumstances surrounding the theft. Further details are awaited.-----------
