Imphal, 25 July (HS): Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and military equipment during a search operation conducted near the Sangaithel Park area under Patsoi Police Station in Manipur's Imphal West district on July 24.

The seized items included eight pistols with magazines, four rifles, three hand grenades, three detonators, a large quantity of live ammunition and empty cartridge cases, several magazines and military gear such as bulletproof jackets, magazine pouches and wireless communication sets.

The recovery was made as part of ongoing security operations aimed at curbing the activities of armed groups and maintaining law and order in the region. Further investigation is underway.----------
