
Guwahati, 25 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday informed through social media that several public representatives have contributed to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support people affected by the devastating floods in the state.
According to the Chief Minister, Dimoria MLA Tapan Das, Baokhungri MLA Rupam Chandra Roy and Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Executive Member Karmeswar Roy have each donated ₹50,000, while former MLA Phanidhar Talukdar has contributed ₹1 lakh to the relief fund.
Expressing gratitude for their generosity and solidarity with flood-affected families, the Chief Minister said such contributions would further strengthen the government's ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.------------
