Guwahati, 25 July (HS): AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal turned emotional while addressing a press conference on the flood situation in Upper Assam, expressing deep concern over the hardships faced by flood-affected people.

Ajmal said that thousands of flood victims are struggling without access to safe drinking water, while women are facing severe difficulties due to the lack of toilet facilities in relief camps and affected areas.

Announcing relief measures, he said that 10,000 toilets would be installed for flood-affected women to ensure their safety and dignity.

He also pledged financial assistance of ₹25 lakh to ₹50 lakh for the reconstruction and repair of Namghars damaged in the floods.

Speaking emotionally, Ajmal appealed for collective efforts to support the flood victims and assured that every possible assistance would be extended to those affected by the disaster.-----------
