
Imphal, 24 July (HS): National People's Party (NPP) president and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma arrived in Imphal on Friday for a two-day visit to participate in the party's annual convention in Manipur.
As part of his itinerary, Sangma inaugurated the NPP's Manipur State Office at Mercy Lane in Mantripukhri. The event was attended by senior leaders and office-bearers of the party's state unit.
The inauguration comes a day before the NPP's annual convention, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday at the MSFDS Complex in Imphal. Sangma reached the newly inaugurated office around noon to take part in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the NPP national president said the new office would serve as a key centre for expanding and strengthening the party's organisational network in Manipur. He congratulated the state leadership for completing the office building on time and appreciated their dedication to the party.
Sangma also called upon party workers to remain focused on the NPP's vision and continue working collectively to further strengthen the organisation across the state.-----------
